Shri Daan Lila
4 x 5 feet
Price upon request
The festival of Daan Lila is celebrated in August-September every year when Krishna demanded milk and butter from the gopis as a toll for safe passage. It is believed that this occurred in a valley near Mount Govardhana known as Daan Ghati. This pichvai depicts the entire narrative where Lord Krishna is approaching the gopis bearing milk and curd pots on their heads. At Nathdwara, the festival of Daan Lila goes on for twenty days.
